Doll gates — the route from here to the destination

One underlying state, three ways to look at it: where we are (the Vision layer), what is next (the first-sale gate), and the whole route (to the destination). Switching views never changes the data — the same records sit behind all three.

With scripts off, all three views show stacked — nothing is hidden.

Where we are — the Vision layer

The standing layer is Vision — one authoritative value, everywhere. (An older page once said the standing point was the market layer; that contradiction is resolved: the founder's 5 September direction is Vision first, and every page now renders the same value.)

open Who would pay for the first service disposition: needs-Janhavi

Held evidence constrains who is not an accepted buyer (the startups-and-SMEs class; referral callers; programme members) but names no accepted buyer type with a payable first service. Empty buyer record stays honest.

Disposition recorded 2026-09-05 19:50 · reassessment page

What remains before this is settled: A named buyer type with a specific payable first service, grounded in held evidence or founder input — not invented

Supporting records:

Open questions:

  • Janhavi: who do you picture paying for the first professional hour — a role, a firm type, a situation?
  • Held evidence only constrains what not to invent as who; it does not name a buyer.

Next review: Janhavi answers the focused founder-context request (published 5 Sep 19:55)

open Why they would pay disposition: needs-Janhavi

Offer shape is held (productised hour standing for roughly three solicitor hours; company setup ritual) but that is what would be sold, not a stated reason a named buyer pays. Willingness-to-pay cannot be invented.

Disposition recorded 2026-09-05 19:50 · reassessment page

What remains before this is settled: A stated, evidence-grounded reason a buyer pays for the first hour

Supporting records:

Open questions:

  • Janhavi: why would that buyer pay — what is expensive or painful enough about their today?
  • Held offer shape (productised hour) is not yet a why-pay attached to a named who.

Next review: Janhavi answers the focused founder-context request (published 5 Sep 19:55)

blocked How we would reach them — the standing blocker: reach, how the first professional hour is found and sold disposition: still-open-with-next-test

Held evidence answered what fails: the 30 Aug end-to-end check found no route (count 0); the 4 Sep channel shapes are landscape context only; the 5 Sep 02:55 deepen attempt discarded those shapes as a sellable first-hour route without inventing distribution. Next test: once a founder-named who exists, check whether any held channel shape reaches that who without inventing FYJ-owned distribution. Janhavi naming a channel she already has would also close faster.

Disposition recorded 2026-09-05 19:50 · reassessment page

What remains before this is settled: A reachable channel to the first buyer, tested against held evidence or founder context

Supporting records:

Open questions:

  • Next test once who is named: can any held channel shape reach that who without inventing FYJ distribution?
  • Optional faster close: which channel does Janhavi already have this month?

Next review: Founder-named who (then run the channel-shape test), or Janhavi names a channel she already has — asked in the focused request (5 Sep 19:55)

in-progress Offer shape — what the first professional hour is disposition: answered-from-held-evidence

Offer shape itself is held from founder context (productised hour; setup ritual; many-small-clients-then-coverage scale). Still unconnected to a named who/why/reach — connection waits on the three gaps.

Disposition recorded 2026-09-05 19:50 · reassessment page

What remains before this is settled: Offer shape connected to a named who/why/reach

Supporting records:

Open questions:

  • Offer shape is held; it is not yet connected to a named who / why / reach

Next review: The same reassessment

What is next — the first-sale gate

The gate after Vision: one route to a first sale that passes all four checks — who, why they pay, how we reach them, what happens next. Routes passing today: 0. The blocker is reach.

open The next gate after Vision: an end-to-end route to a first sale that survives all four checks (who / why pay / how reach / what next)

What remains before this is settled: One route passes all four checks end to end — count today: 0 (honest)

No supporting records attached yet — honest, not hidden.

Next review: Vision layer exit

The first-customer cut stays parked. Preparation exists and was deliberately not activated. The protection rule.

The whole route

open The destination: a $2–5bn company (original prompt figure; $2.5–5bn in the later explainer)

What remains before this is settled: Not declared — the destination is not an operational metric and no progress percentage exists

No supporting records attached yet — honest, not hidden.

Next review: Not scheduled — reviewed only on real gate movement

No percentages are shown: there is no honest denominator yet, so progress is stated as counts and states, not invented fractions.

Directions — including the ones set aside, and why

continuingVision first — the active direction

Founder direction, 5 Sep 2026 ~10:50 London (answered the 08:55 window ~25 minutes after its 10:25 deadline; recorded as answered-after-deadline)

Founder steer: 'Vision first. Research is NOT the missing piece.' Supersedes 'continue thin honesty/recon' as the default next work.

rejectedOld default: continue thin honesty/recon hours

Old default: continue thin honesty/recon hours

Superseded by the 5 Sep ~10:50 Vision-first steer; repeated unchanged hours were not reducing uncertainty (05:55 / 06:55 / 07:55 / 09:55 run).

rejectedNight of 4–5 Sep work

Night of 4–5 Sep work

Reach shapes discarded as a target for the end-to-end route check during the night of 4–5 Sep; the saturation review rotated five categories off (Companies in the space / Competitor mapping / Market scenarios / Market discovery / Risk path-hunting).

parkedFounder sequencing decision

Founder sequencing decision, 25 Aug 2026

Parked first-customer cut. Do not unpark. Its exclusion explains current choices: C1/C2 were prepared on 4–5 Sep (prep only) and explicitly not activated.

History, kept subordinate

10 earlier maps are retained as history in the legacy capture. First-cut buckets from founder context were labelled exactly that — labelled, not the list. The dated research pages behind this view are on Evidence and the agent evidence file.
