Every night gets a dated page. A quiet night is written as quiet.
Headline. Contract UUID c0cbf4d7-7977-4e73-b477-766ab1a5af70 is live. Overnight has a dated page for each night including 25–26 and 26–27 Aug. Quiet nights are written as quiet, not omitted. No path named. P unchanged. Customer cut parked.
What the agent just did
You opened Overnight this morning. It is the 27th. The only card was night of 24–25 Aug. Nights 25–26 and 26–27 were missing. There was no “no overnight ran” marker either. The caption already said “Next night gets a new dated page.” The list did not keep that promise.
Site 500 / restore / Slot Work do not replace Overnight. A missing night with no page is a hole in the record, not “no customer named.”
That is now a rule, not a caption.
Overnight must show one dated page per London night. No skipped calendar nights on the list. After each night, the page is there. A quiet night still gets a page that says so in founder English — “no overnight hours ran,” or “hours ran; they did not name a customer.” Empty Open plus a two-day-old Archive card is not an account of last night.
The 24–25 page stays the 24–25 record. I have not retitled it. I have not stretched it over later nights.
25–26 and 26–27 are written from the hour-log and the files, not from memory. 25–26: hours ran; they logged as maintenance; they did not name a customer. 26–27: hours ran 20:55–04:55; they did not name a customer. Both nights are over, so both cards sit in Archive as completed.
Each Overnight card now shows Night of DD–DD Mon YYYY on the card, separate from the title and the badge, plus slot times if hours ran. You can see the night without a tap. Example: Night of 26–27 Aug 2026 · 20:55–04:55. That extends a9aec1fe (date + time on cards) to Overnight cadence.
Overnight is not Slot Work. Site repair, publish, and 500 recovery stay in Slot Work.
This page sits under Contract. The night pages sit under Overnight. Dated pages never move.
I have not invented a customer or a path to justify the pages. The nightly page can be short. p-evidence.md is still empty. p-missing.md is still the one question. market-paths.md still starts No path named yet.
UUID 63e813ea-f3ae-4cb3-9090-2025599c7854 stays parked: the customer cut is a milestone / north star, not installed, not released, not P.
This hour is c0cbf4d7 Overnight cadence backfill, not a recon hour. 06:55 recon has not been stolen.
Why this was necessary
The problem this hour removes: a list that promised a new dated page each night and then skipped two nights. You cannot check cadence if last night is invisible. “No customer named” is not a reason to omit the night.
P is company position toward the $2.5–5bn goal. The empty file exists so the score cannot be faked. The p-missing question is the blocking question you confirmed is correct. Empty is honest, not finished. Market-path research remains the current priority mechanism. This hour did not invent a path or a customer. P did not move.
A layer is a named piece of the job that can come off once a close has evidence it can run without you. Today's layer stays Peer toggle: Founder View ↔ Agent View. This hour did not rename it.
The slot — the one line that says what this hour is on — is unchanged: Hold the 24-hour founder loop with Founder View and Agent View as peer surfaces. Use the hours for market-path compounding. Do not invent a customer. Do not unpark the customer cut.
A cut is a shortened next-job draft. The customer cut would make “name the first customer” the next job. You parked it until market paths have been identified and are converging. It stays parked. It remains the milestone / north star.
This hour is still mechanism: how Overnight keeps a night-by-night record. It is not a move of P. Milestone held; standing work is market-path compounding.
Systemic effect: you can open Overnight on the 27th and see a page for 24–25, 25–26, and 26–27, including a quiet night written as quiet, without treating Slot Work as last night.
Alternatives rejected
- Leave the caption as the only mention of “next night.” You already had the caption. The list still skipped nights.
- Stretch the 24–25 card to cover later nights. You forbade that.
- Treat 500 / restore as the missing Overnight pages. Repair is Slot Work.
- Invent a customer or a path so the backfill looks like progress. You forbade that. p-evidence.md stays empty.
- Unpark the customer cut, rewrite the live slot, or name a new layer. You forbade that.
- Steal 06:55 recon for this hour.
Pushback invited — decide or criticise
Working set, not exhaustive.
1. Do the three Archive cards scan on the phone — Night of DD–DD Mon YYYY visible without a tap?
2. Is 25–26’s sentence honest enough: hours ran; they did not name a customer?
3. Should a future quiet night use “no overnight hours ran” only when the log has no :55 rows at all?
Current levers
Working set, not exhaustive.
1. Market-path compounding — standing work. Not P until you accept a path.
2. The parked customer cut — milestone / north star. Not the live job. Not installed.
3. The live slot — still the 24-hour loop with peer surfaces. Not rewritten this hour.
Watch / next decision
Next check 27 Aug 08:55. The next London night gets a new dated page. Dead link is a failed publish. Unauthenticated 401 is the login gate. 500 is failure. 06:55 recon has not been stolen.
Prior contracts still live: a9aec1fe date + slot time on cards; a36b2815 dates on cards and parked cut as milestone; 26e4abb6 hold is no invention, not no recon; 21b73208 header and recon map; 3ae9e308 status badges; 1ea6fbac peer toggle; c299d2bb status labels; 3f466b07 tabs; 8c85e909 click-success; dual-write; web-first; non-invention; 63e813ea customer cut parked.
