Competitor mapping filed. Still thin. No path named.
Headline. Standing job is other recon, not stop. This hour read public UK directories of who already occupies founder-adjacent professional-services spend. I have not named a market. P has not moved.
Contract UUID 26e4abb6-3b66-4a66-a4f7-d4c065ad9233 is live. Hold = no invention, not no recon. Standing work is recon until end-to-end paths emerge and value-forming is visible. No path named. P unchanged. Customer cut parked.
UUID 63e813ea-f3ae-4cb3-9090-2025599c7854 is live (parked): the customer cut stays parked.
Contract UUID 21b73208-f692-4500-9945-9bc88266d1c6 is still live: header names FYJ Founder Bot; recon categories stay visible on Evidence.
What the agent just did
Wrote market-path-research-2026-08-26-2255.md.
Area: Competitor mapping.
Last found: public UK solicitor and chartered-accountant directories — a class of firms already taking paid work next to founders.
Verdict: stayed thin.
P unchanged.
I opened the Law Society Find a solicitor page (HTTP 200), the ICAEW Find a chartered accountant page (HTTP 200), and the ICAEW directory (HTTP 200). The Law Society search tool at solicitors.lawsociety.org.uk returned HTTP 403 from this host. An attempted SRA register URL returned HTTP 404 and was not used. I did not re-read company 16892858. I did not repeat the ACSP/MCA pass, the SIC map, or the ONS size bulletin.
Find a solicitor is the Law Society’s free public directory for England and Wales. It is fed by Solicitors Regulation Authority data. You can filter by legal issue, place, solicitor name, or firm name, and get contact routes. That is a public map of regulated legal professionals in the paid services lane.
ICAEW is the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales. Its Find a chartered accountant pages point to an official directory of over 12,000 firms. That is a public map of regulated accountancy firms in the same spend lane.
None of that is who FYJ is for, why they would pay, how FYJ reaches them, or what sits next. So it is not a candidate, and it is not a path. It is competitor-space context only — a class of firms, not FYJ competitors named as a path, and not customers.
End-to-end test this hour: who / why pay / how FYJ reaches them / what sits next — all still missing. No real public fact filled any of the four.
market-paths.md still starts No path named yet.
This page sits under Evidence. It is a dated record. It does not move heading. The live contract sits under Contract.
Why this was necessary
P is company position toward $2.5–5bn. p-evidence.md is empty so the score cannot be faked. p-missing.md is still the question you confirmed: Who is the first customer, or what is the first market path, for For Your Journey Ltd? Empty is honest, not finished. The next useful work is a real name you accept, or evidence that gets closer to answering. Market-path research is the current priority mechanism. This note is not a P move.
The problem this hour removes: Competitor mapping sitting as a blank card after Companies in the space was filed. Future recon hours show area / found / stronger-thin-discarded / P unchanged, from a different public source, still without inventing a name.
That matters for ownership and for $2.5–5bn because a solicitor directory and an accountant directory prove the paid professional-services lane is occupied. Value starts to form only when a candidate can run end to end. This hour can show the lane is real and still say the FYJ line is thin.
A layer is a named piece of the job that can come off once a close has evidence it can run without you. Today's layer stays Peer toggle: Founder View ↔ Agent View. This hour did not rename it.
The slot is unchanged: hold the 24-hour founder loop with Founder View and Agent View as peer surfaces. Use the hours for market-path compounding. Do not invent a customer. Do not unpark the customer cut.
A cut is a shortened next-job draft. The customer cut would make “name the first customer” the next job. You parked it until market paths have been identified and are converging. It stays parked.
Systemic effect: Competitor mapping is no longer a blank card. It now shows what was found, that the line stayed thin, and that P is unchanged.
Alternatives rejected
- Sit on the 25 Aug stop. Hold is no invention, not no recon.
- Repeat ACSP/MCA, SIC neighbours, or ONS size. That would have been the same sources twice.
- Re-read Companies House 16892858. The register was fully read at 19:55 on 25 Aug.
- Treat Law Society or ICAEW directory entries as FYJ competitors named as a path, or as customers. That would fake P.
- Invent a who / why / how so the hour looks end-to-end. It is not.
- Unpark the customer cut, or rewrite the live slot. You did not confirm that.
Pushback invited — decide or criticise
Working set, not exhaustive.
1. Which recon area is weak — Competitor mapping is now filed and still thin; Risk reduction and Market scenarios are still empty?
2. Which candidate should I deepen — there is not one yet with even a partial who / why / how?
3. Which line should I drop — the Law Society solicitor directory, the ICAEW firm directory, or neither?
Current levers (working set, not exhaustive)
- Market-path compounding — standing, not P until you accept a path. Competitor-space context is not a name.
- The parked customer cut.
- The live slot — still the 24-hour loop with peer surfaces. Not rewritten this hour.
Watch / next decision point
Next recon hour uses a different public source again, still without inventing a name, still without re-reading 16892858, and still without repeating this Law Society/ICAEW pass, the ACSP/MCA pass, the 20:55 classification pages, or the 21:55 bulletin. Dead link is a failed publish. Unauthenticated 401 is the login gate.
