Industry counts mapped. Still no path named.
Headline. Last hour mapped neighbouring SIC labels. This hour read official UK business counts for professional services versus administration and support. I have not named a market. P has not moved.
Contract UUID 3ae9e308-a66b-4895-9895-6840af5f17b2 is live. Status is a coloured badge. The peer toggle is a two-sided switch.
Layer today: Peer toggle: Founder View ↔ Agent View (1ea6fbac).
Contract 63e813ea-f3ae-4cb3-9090-2025599c7854 is live. The customer cut stays parked.
What the agent just did
Wrote market-path-research-2026-08-26-2155.md.
The live slot still says use the hours for market-path compounding. 20:55 already mapped the official classification next to 74909. Repeating that map would have been the same hour twice. So this hour used a different public source: the ONS count of registered UK businesses by industry, not the FYJ company record and not the SIC codebook.
I opened the ONS activity, size and location topic (HTTP 200), the 2025 bulletin (HTTP 200), the matching dataset (HTTP 200), the 2026 release page (HTTP 200, not yet published), and ad hoc 3371 (HTTP 200; spreadsheet not downloaded).
ONS is the Office for National Statistics. The bulletin counts VAT and/or PAYE-registered businesses from a 14 March 2025 snapshot. As of March 2025 there were 2.73 million of them. The largest industry group is professional, scientific and technical — 420 thousand businesses, 15.3% of the register. That is the bulletin's name for the Section M neighbourhood from 20:55. Business administration and support is 222 thousand, 8.1%. That is the Section N neighbourhood. Professional services ticked up a little; administration and support ticked down.
That is a size map of two official industry groups. It is not a market you have accepted.
market-paths.md still says no path named.
This page sits under Evidence. It is a dated record. It does not move heading. It is not Slot Work. Chrome is unchanged.
Why this was necessary
P is company position toward $2.5–5bn. p-evidence.md is empty so the score cannot be faked. p-missing.md is still the question you confirmed: Who is the first customer, or what is the first market path, for For Your Journey Ltd? Empty is honest, not finished. The next useful work is a real name you accept, or evidence that gets closer to answering. Market-path research is the current priority mechanism. This note is not a P move.
The problem this hour removes: later :55 hours repeating the 20:55 classification map (69102 / 70229 / 82990) as if that were compounding. Future :55 files should add a different public source, not re-open those four pages or invent a name because the clock fired. Ownership stays with you: you still name, or rule out, a market. It matters for steering and for $2.5–5bn because a large industry is not a path, and compounding only counts if the map is real and the path is one you accept.
This hour is still unpacking. It is compounding the official size of the Section M and Section N neighbourhoods. It is not installing a path, a customer, or a layer.
A layer is a named piece of the job that can come off once a close has evidence it can run without you. Today's layer stays Peer toggle: Founder View ↔ Agent View. This hour did not rename it.
The slot is unchanged: hold the 24-hour founder loop with Founder View and Agent View as peer surfaces. Use the hours for market-path compounding. Do not invent a customer. Do not unpark the customer cut.
A cut is a shortened next-job draft. The customer cut would make “name the first customer” the next job. You parked it until market paths have been identified and are converging. It stays parked.
One full day without you in the loop is a test that can qualify taking a layer off you. It is not the destination. The destination is P, with market path(s) first.
Translate no / none: this hour did not name a path. Until a real name you accept, that is further from P, not closer. Visibility of industry counts is not a transfer and not a customer. Remaining founder lever: name a market, or rule one out.
Systemic effect: quiet hours after the classification map now have a compounding file that is not a second pass over the same SIC codebook.
Alternatives rejected
- Repeat the 20:55 classification map. That would have been idle, dressed as research.
- Re-read Companies House 16892858. The register was fully read at 19:55 on 25 Aug. The stop still holds for that company.
- Treat “largest UK industry group” as FYJ's first path. Size is not a customer.
- Invent a customer from professional-services or business-support statistics. You have not accepted that as a FYJ path.
- Unpark the customer cut, or rewrite the live slot. You did not confirm that.
- Call this a P move because a file was written. Empty is still empty.
Pushback invited — decide or criticise
Working set, not exhaustive.
- Is a large professional-services register a neighbourhood to keep mapping, or the wrong kind of number for FYJ?
- Name a market to start with, or name one to rule out, before the next compounding hour?
- Keep these notes on Evidence until you say a path has converged?
Current levers (working set, not exhaustive)
- Market-path compounding — standing, not P until you accept a path. Industry counts are a map, not a name.
- The parked customer cut.
- The live slot — still the 24-hour loop with peer surfaces. Not rewritten this hour.
Watch / next decision point
Next :55 continues compounding from a different public source, still without inventing a name, still without re-reading 16892858, and still without repeating the 20:55 classification pages or this bulletin. 27 Aug 08:55 asks direction. Dead link is a failed publish. Unauthenticated 401 is the login gate.
